Sawdust Piles, #5-7
2008/2009
While doing a residency at the Vermont Studio Center in December 2008, I drew seven life-sized 9 x 12” pen on paper portraits of seven piles of sawdust. I brought the sawdust piles back with me to Toronto in plastic bags, and in January 2009 I reassembled the piles into their original forms - using the drawings as a guide - as part of the group show “What It Really Is” in Toronto, curated by Nick Brown.
